What the number can prove
Encoded facts stay separate from reference facts.
The decoder publishes the model code, model-year code, variant code, body or submodel code and sequence whenever the format carries them. Engine layout, displacement and plant information are labeled as model-level reference data when they are not uniquely encoded.
Original paint, interior, options, exact production completion date and matching engine or transmission numbers still require Porsche archive documentation.
