1968 BMW 1600-2

I purchased this 1600 for my mother in 2012. It was a traded in by a young lady need a reliable car for school at a local buy here pay here lot. The car did not come with keys. Although the car ran great, it had absolutely no brakes. The front rotors were sheared through. My mother and I replaced the front wheel hubs, bearings, rotors and calipers. It took some time to find the smaller rear drums and shoes. This was wy mothers daily driver for almost 2 years.
In 2014 the car would not stay running at idle. A local euro mechanic replaced the installed an electric fuel pump and replaced the carburetor with a Weber 34. The car would still not run. My mother purchased a new can and the BMW sat for 12 years.
Last fall I replaced a faulty fuel line with a replacement from Wallothnesch. The car runs again! I've purchased some body parts and am in the process of bringing this car back to a new life. I've also purchased a few resoration items from KugelWorks.
